is web hosting and why do I need one for my website?
There are
2 primary things that you need to get your identity established on the
internet. You need a domain name and web host. Your domain name (IE:
company.com) will be directed to your web host (through name servers).
A web host will basically hold your website on the internet. You will
be renting space off of our servers so that you have a home on the web.

are the recommendations for surfing your website?
We recommend
that you surf with a high speed modem, 800x600 resolution, and maximum
number of colors. We also recommend that you browse with Microsoft Internet

Yes, you
are the owner of the domain name that is registered for free. You may

Web hosting gives you the facility to publish your web pages onto the

you can accept email at your domain name and collect it from an email

is considered SPAM and why is it forbidden?
SPAM is any unsolicited email. If you are going to send email to potential
customers you should sign up for an 'opt-in' email list. These are lists
of email addresses for people who ask to be emailed to on a specific
topic, and it states that they signed up to be on that list at the beginning
of the email. The action of mass mailing can slow down servers and suck
up tremendous bandwidth. This action is completely forbidden on the
HostSP web servers.

After purchasing a web hosting plan, visit the website where you registered

you offer ASP?
Yes , HostSP currently does not offer ASP to our Windows based clients.
Apache ASP is offered on same UNIX plans but it is not supported.

- Will
my website ever go down?
Possibly. Not one web host can truly guarantee a 100% uptime rate. However,
HostSP does guarantee that your website will be up 99.5% of the time.

- How
will I setup domain names within my account?
If you order designer plans with control panel, you could be given the
option to setup X amount of domain names within your account . If you
order a designer plan - You will receive a control panel in which you
can automatically setup domain names within your account and also setup
hosting plans for each. This is a great tool that almost no other host
provides their customers! for other other plans - These domain names
will be setup within 24 hours of inquire . You can limit quotas on bandwidth & disk space but they are not automatically setup.
